Anyways, you're absolutely free to role-play outside of the actual areas without a character. You can't join a village until you're character application is complete. Just so you know, the kages all have about the same standards; a paragraph for appearance and personality [they'll accept one paragraph total] and two for the history. Aside from that, feel free to wing it. O:
