Under the golden reign of Neo Queen Serenity of the Silver Millennium and Crystal Tokyo, and King Endymion, King of Earth and Crystal Tokyo, the world has flourished. Their daughter, the Princess Small Lady Serenity, Usagi Tsukino, has just turned 14 years old and accepted the title and role of Sailor Moon. With the four guardian Asteroid Senshi at her side, she has sworn to protect the Earth and Crystal Tokyo from all who dare harm it.

Refugees from a broken and destroyed world, the latest in a generation of people who have suffered from apocalypse after apocalypse, arrive in the solar system. They seek the solution to the death of their entire civilization, they seek to avenge their millions upon millions dead, they seek peace and a safe home. They seek the 'Heirloom'.

A young girl prays every night to a grand pillar. She is lost, but guided by an unseen hand. She prays for the awakening of the daughters of the gods, the awakenings of the soldiers who will rise up as the saviors of her people. She prays to a power long lost and to a power that lies dormant.
